While we all wait for the first issue to get published…
What are your thoughts on feminism? What do you think of the stereotype that feminists are all lesbians? Do you consider yourself a feminist? How do you define feminism?
Comments….? Leave ‘em.

Ladies! Want to help a Lyke Mag writer complete her piece on feminism for the debut issue of Lyke Mag? Just submit the answers to the following questions to lykemagsubmissions@yahoo.com
**************
I’m working on some writing for a friend.
The topic is feminism.
I’m curious.
1. What does the word feminist mean to you?
2. What is your definition of feminine?
3. Do you do anything that is feminist?
4. Can you name three feminists, living or dead, strangers or friends?
5. Who do you think is the most feminine woman in the world, living or dead, strangers or friends?
If you could respond by December 3rd, that would be great.
Short answers are totally fine.
Thanks.
I’m not sure if my piece will be published, but I will not use any names in my article, but most likely demographics of the answerees to these questions. So if you’d like to respond, please include the following:
Age:
Race:
Sexual Orientation:
Occupation:
Where you live (something as unspecific as Southeast PA is fine)
Thanks, again.

Yeah, I’m a feminist lesbian. . . it’s just that I find it really hard to hold in my cat calls when a hottie strolls by

I say feminism is simply the study, or struggle, or movement, something like that, to ensure women are treated like…human beings.
At the same time, I agree with the previous comment, and I’m not sure if I’m contibuting to feminism while turning my head to check out a girl.

I consider myself a womanist. I don’t think that all lesbians/bi-sexuals are feminist. They reject the patriarchy and some reject gender norms but I don’t think they consider themselves feminist. I think to be feminist you have to have a level of consciousness.
